Bed Wetting
The medical name for bedwetting is enuresis - the uncontrollable
passing of urine continuing beyond the usual age of control. It
is quite a common condition in both children and adolescents.
Bed wetting can be extremely stressful for both parents and children.
For the child wetting the bed, it's often a major embarrassment.
For parents, there may be a mixture of annoyance and sometimes
a little anger. They wonder if bedwetting is done on purpose,
perhaps to attract attention, or simply because of laziness.
Enuresis has nothing to do with how a child was taught to use
the toilet. Parents should not feel guilty or think they did something
wrong. Some sufferers may have low levels of a hormone called
antidiuretic hormone which helps the kidneys retain water. Low
levels of this tend to produce more urine. Sometimes bed-wetting
can be associated with night terrors such as sleepwalking or nightmares.
Of those children with night-time bed wetting, only a tiny proportion
have a physical disorder, such as urinary tract infections or
abnormalities, or undiagnosed diabetes.
Bed wetting is most often a nervous habit, and most sufferers
will outgrow it. However, once the sufferer begins to worry about
it and "tries" to stop it, the problem persists. Like
any bad habit, the more we use willpower, the more we subconsciously
feed the negative thought-form.
The older the sufferer, the more embarrassing the problem becomes
and more and more tension surrounds the issue. With the MindFrame
Technique, one will not only neutralize the bad habit, but will
develop the ability to become the Master in all areas of one's
life.
